Pilgrim Lutheran Church is seeking an organist to play for worship services and choir rehearsals. The organist would work collaboratively with the Pastor and the Director of Music, serving the congregation in the capacity of organist, pianist, and accompanist. Â
Required Duties:
Play organ for two (2) services on Sunday morning:Â 8:00 AM and 10:45 AM.
Accompany adult choir (piano and organ) on Thursday evenings:Â 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
Collaborate with Director of Music, Pastor, and other staff members for worship planning.
Play organ for special services on Christmas Eve and during Holy Week.
Other Duties May Include:
Play piano for Wednesday evening prayer service (not currently scheduled).
Play organ/piano as requested for weddings, funerals, etc. (arrangements made directly with families requesting services)
Pilgrim’s organ was built by John-Paul Buzard Pipe Organ Builders (Opus 45) and commissioned in the spring of 2017. Details on the organ and a tonal specification can be found <here>.
