Starting Sunday, November 6 and leading up to the Old Oaken Bucket rivalry football game between IU and Purdue, we will be running a friendly competitive food drive benefiting the food pantries of both schools. Each campus pantry will receive the food and cash donated toward their particular school. Social Ministry will make an extra $500 donation to the food pantry of the winning school. We will also have IU- or Purdue-themed treats between services on Dec. 18, depending on who "wins" the competition. The real winners of this food collection will be a population that many forget have food insecurity issues--college students and staff. Bring your donations to the collection barrels in the church Narthex between now and Nov. 27 to contribute. Jenny Pitts email@example.com
Have you picked up your STAR yet? Take one or more off the Christmas Trees in the Narthex. You will purchase gifts that are listed on the stars. Return the unwrapped gifts (with stars attached) to church no later than, Sunday, November 27th. Dave Hunden firstname.lastname@example.org.
Join us on Sunday, December 11 at 9am for the Voter Meeting. We will also be decorating the church after the 10am worship service.
